The Curry County Cultural Coalition (CCCC) has awarded Curry Arts, Inc. a $400 grant for the Curry Arts project: “Create & Celebrate – Happy 130th Birthday to Gold Beach”.
The grant will be used to fund four art workshops and a culminating art show.
Workshops will integrate the history and natural resources of Gold Beach to help celebrate the town’s 130th anniversary. The workshops will be open to the community free of charge or for a donation of less than $5.00 per person depending on the materials cost and funding.
A big thank you to the CCCC for awarding Curry Arts this grant AND a big thank you as well to Curry Arts board members Janee Lensing and Julie Wilson for applying and being awarded this grant!

Grants are made to organizations whose projects most closely fit the goals and guidelines of the Oregon Cultural Trust (OCT) and the CCCC. The purpose of the awards is to increase public participation in Oregon culture.
Oregon Cultural Trust funds are generated through direct donations, the sales of Cultural Heritage license plates, and individual state tax credits. One third of the money that the OCT grants each year is distributed among 45 county and tribal cultural coalitions, based on population. These autonomous coalitions set their own priorities and re-grant OCT funds within their jurisdictions.
